CE Bound

I am trying to get motivated to pack so I can be off in the morning. This is my third visit to CE (creative escape- a scrapbooking event sponsored by Heidi Swapp and Bazzill paper.)
I am really looking forward to this break. Will drive to Bryce National park tomorrow and hopefully get sunrise photos on Tuesday am. And then be in Pheonix by Tues. pm. And I am beat after working 2-12hour shifts. Enjoyed seeing Harlee and Nicholas after work today for dinner time. Little Harlee makes me laugh and Nicholas was too, as he watched the fairies on the ceiling fan in the living room. Good night.

Including a couple of cards and layout I recently made.

It's Amazing

what one can find behind the bed of a child gone off to college, just 'cause you went in the room to change the sheets on the bed - clean sheets, yes, several pairs of socks(yes, that is where they are hiding), stuffed animals, pillows, blankets. Very interesting. Anyhoo, it is all picked up and the bed remade.

New Specs

Curtis thinks I am going retro, exuse me, he said techno.. I like to think it is stylish. New glasses--been a year or two since that has happened (actually 5). So I think I am overdue. These are stylish frames that Cait would have chosen for me and they are of coarse, green, my fav colour. Hope you like them too.

My CE projects

I went to work this morning, not to work in NICU, but float to newborn nursery. They had a couple of babies in their stepdown unit that kept me busy. And then I got to come home early, around 5pm.
Thought I should work on my homework for CE(creative escape) since we will be leaving for Pheonix on Monday and I have to work all weekend.
So this is what I ended up doing. The one is a travel journal and the other two are playing cards that we had to decorate using the colour scheme that they sent in a FedEx Box.

Moving On

I have been told through the grapevine, I need to update my blog. Just been a little busy, driving to the coast, moving Cait in and then driving home again. It has been an emotionally draining weekend leaving Cait in Tacoma. The college seems great, very small and personal. We left Wed am with a very packed vehicle and spent the night in Spokane--enjoyed dinner and a visit with Debbie P. Headed on Thursday am and arrived in Tacoma around noon--headed to Cabella's to buy some camping gear for Cait. She isupposed to use it this week on her camping and canoing trip.
Friday am she was able to move into her dorm room and finally meet her room mate, who she has corresponded with for a while now. And off to Target to get a few last minute items. Late afternoon, on Friday they had convocation on the football field and provided a picnic for all the freshmen and their families. Cait had activities on Friday pm and Curtis drove me around PT Defiance. Sat they had a few classes on campus for parents, as the students had some activities too. We enjoyed a last meal at "The Melting Pot" a fondue restaurant. Curtis and I were on the road by 6am yesterday am.

Sunday, Sunday

The boxes and gear from Cait's room are slowly moving to the garage to be loaded in the Pilot on Tuesday. It will be full, full, full. And Caitlin took me to see Mama Mia, which as all the music from when I was a young adult. Thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks, Cait.

Being Pushed into this new Century

Caitlin is off to college this next week and thinks I need a blog so that I can communicate with her and share photos of Harlee and Nicholas and scrapbookpages and cards that I make. So, here goes my first effort. Here is a photo I took of Auntie Cait and Nicholas. Did I do OK?????
