Cyer Monday

and the end of November. Today is supposed to be the busiest shopping on the net. I have done my share this morning. Order some new pants and shirts for Curtis at Eddie Bauer--they are offering an extra 20% discount and free shipping. He is headed down the road this morning to Boise, ID. But he did get our Christmas lights up yesterday. After getting all the icicle lights out--all but one strand wasn't working. So, down the road we went to get some new light--they were on sale at Walgreens--buy one, get one free. So 2 strands for $10. And he wanted LED lights. Pretty good price since they were $22 at Home Depot. The outside is decorated and looks nice and now I get to work on the inside.

Black Friday

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner-the food tasted pretty good. Even the kids ate up decent. Sent lots of left overs home with Kirsten. She says she never has left overs, but she did today. This morning Curtis and I were out early to get a few good deals at the stores. Looking for a new TV, as ours is having problems. But will continue the search. Lots of people besides us out there. Weather was great--warm for Nov and not much wind. Came home and had a nap .

Happy Thanksgiving!

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family, near and far. We have so much to be thankful for. Curtis and I will be sharing dinner with Kirsten and her family. Caitlin will be sharing Thanksgiving with the Olive family in Seattle--Thank you so much for including her in your celebration. This is our 2nd Thanksgiving. We celebrate both Canadian and American Thanksgiving in this household. Looking forward to turkey and all the fixins. Enjoying a little quiet time from work. And checking all the BF flyers for a crazy day tomorrow.

Reunion

Recently went home to London, Ontario. My mum is sick and wanted to spend a little time with her. Also, our nursing class from 1974 had a 35year reunion dinner. We also had a tour of the hospital where I trained-St. Thomas Elgin Hospital. Sure don't remember much of it. Anyway this is the group shot of the people that went to dinner--some of these folks I hadn't seen since graduation.

Ready to Hang

on the wall. Have my family photos, finally in frames and organized on the floor. Now if I can move Curtis to help me get things up on the wall. It's only been since Aug. when we had family photos taken, before Cait headed back to Tacoma.

Christmas Card preview

Have been working on a christmas card, so I can assemble them when I fly back to my mums this next week. Kirsten and I went shopping yesterday--went to the Christmas collection at Paris Gibson Museum--not very impressed with what they had to offer. Really missed being in Seattle this weekend, but the concert was postponed. So, here, without further ado, are our cards for 2009. Cute, I say!

Halloween has Come and Gone

and was pretty boring around here. We only had 15 trick or treaters. What was with that??? The temperature was pretty balmy for around here, although it was windy. The grandkids were sick. Kirsten took them to the doctor yesterday. They did a strep screen on Harlee and Nicholas had an ear that was not looking too good. They are both on wonderful antibiotics and hopefully soon will be feeling better. Harlee is almost 3 and this is the first time she has ever been on antibiotics, so that is pretty good. I am staying isolated from them, as much as I hate it, because I don't want to get sick. Headed back home next week and don't want to take it to Mum and Bill. I have finished working for this week and enjoying my days off. Here are 3 layouts I recently finished. Just an interesting tidbit--it is 100 days until the winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC.
