Happy Birthday, to my better half

Today is Curtis' birthday. No big celebrations. Kirsten and the kids will be over for dinner. It is snowing like crazy out--springtime in Montana.

So, Happy Birthday, Sweetie

Scrappy Weekend

My scrap space in Helena
My friends Jenn and Cheryl

Headed down the road to Helena on Thursday for a scrapbook retreat. A little down time, work on some photos, enjoy a weekend with friends. Was pretty productive as I completed 18 pages and took an afternoon of classes. Headed home after lunch today. Will post my completed layouts later this week.

Springtime Tulips

Got these tulips at the grocery store on our return from CA. They are so pretty. I know they don't last long but needed to brighten my kitchen table.
Have worked last Friday, Sunday, and Monday and spent yesterday at the hospital with Robyn for a procedure.
Need to get my house in order today, finish the laundry and get packed up to leave for scrapping in Helena for the weekend. Hope it will be a relaxing time.

Signs of Spring

in my backyard. Just came in from working outside--cutting down branches, raking old leaves, digging out thistles. But there are signs of spring out there--thank goodness. The grass is getting green. Leaves are starting to come out on the trees. Dandelions and wild violets are blooming

Altered Wooden Basket

Before

After

I bought this wooden basket a few weeks ago on sale, half price and planned to alter it to put the grandkids books in. Finally got with it this week and it went together very quickly. Covered with Prima Paper and letters cut out on Cricut with the Ashlyn's alphabet font. The dragonfly and flowers are from the Home decor cartridge.

Homeward Bound

I think everyone was ready to head home to Montana, but not to snow. We had the morning to pack up and get the car back to the car rental. It was so cute to hear Harlee as we got on the freeway say good bye to all her Disney friends. "Good bye, Mickey. Good bye, Minnie--I love you" I will always remember that. She ate the best lunch, had a meltdown, fell asleep on the plane and we were back in MT. Overall a great trip.

Disneyland - Day 6

This was our last full day in CA..It was rainy and definitely cooler. But the lines were almost nil and we were able to just about walk right on to the rides. Harlee was good only for a half a day. We stopped at Downtown Disney to do some shopping before we headed back to our hotel.

Disneyland-Day5

at pixie hollow--this is the closest Harlee would get to Tink

what a 3 year old does while waiting in line -- whirl, twirl, climb on the bars

pixar paradeand one happy toddler

This day was spent mainly at California Adventure, although we did hit Pixie Hollow early to avoid the long lines with the famous Pixie, Tinkerbell. Minnie was a few feet from us and she liked watching her, but didn't want to get any closer. She was so excited with the parade and all the characters she loves--You should have heard her scream when Lightning McQueen and Mator came out. My pictures were taken with a screaming and jumping 3 year old standing on my legs.
