Seattle Bound!

Had a distressing call from Caitlin today.  She was in such pain, burning down her leg.  They called 911 and headed for the hospital.  She has had enough.  I don't know if I can do anything different, but I am sure going to give it a try.  Will pamper her, cook for her, get her laundry done.  And drive her around if she needs to go anywhere.  And her work better not cross me, or I am about to blow up at them!!!!!  I am headed out early in the morning bound for the coast. Will try and update as I can.

It has snowed all day, not much accumulation.  That is supposed to come overnight!
And it is cold.  We made it to a high of 7F.

Kirsten and I went to a Pamper Chef party this afternoon and the hostess made a yummy lunch.

Winter Has Returned

It started snowing last evening around dinner time and continued all evening.  Had a couple of inches of new snow this morning when I woke up.  And it is cold, too!  Awake far too early this morning, meaning I am very tired this evening.
Got my hair cut yesterday, which was very much needed.  My stylist in on maternity leave and I sure do miss her.  Hopefully, I can hang in there until she gets back in April.  I am sure she is enjoying the time off with her new baby.
Have been ordering all our Disneyland photos, so I can get working on getting them in an album.  I had gone through them all and got them uploaded, but then I had to get them in the cart and decided what sizes I actually wanted.  But it is done and they should be here next week sometime.
Kirsten, Tim and the kids were here for a bit around lunch time.  Cooper is grumpy because he is teething.  Kirsten got a new clutch ordered for her car and a couple of other things.
The big kids were playing Disney Infinity.  Of course, Curtis had left about 10min. before they arrived and didn't get back until after they left.
Still diligently scrapping away.  Have gotten Coopers PL first year album up to date.  Pretty good progress.  Makes a difference when I am not over worked and over tired!!!!!

President's Day

Today was President's Day.  Not much celebration.  Curtis was happy to be off work.  Te grand kids were as happy to be off school.  And so was Caitlin out in Seattle.

The grand kids were all here in full force.  The demolition crew as they are fondly known as.  Cooer was pulling flowers off the table.  Getting into kitchen drawers.  Trying to figure how to get under the gate at the top of the stairs.  His hand and arm can get under it.  He was howling when the rest of him couldn't!!!

Kirsten brought Nic's bike over.  Harlee's was already here from her birthday.  The snow has all melted out front and we have a good size driveway and sidewalk.  And they spent quite a while out riding their bikes.  Helped wear off some extra energy I am thinking!

I have been scrapping and enjoying being able to do this.

Used a lot of old MME product on this one.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope all your sweethearts have been good to you!  Mine was to me.

We had dinner at home.   You can get a great meal for a whole lot less $$$$$ and not fight with the crowds.  My king of meal.  I went to the grocery store this morning with Kirsten and Cooper to get a few items.  It was busy.

I went to out Internet/ cable/ phone company to change a few things.  Wrong!!!!!!!  Can't do squat since it is Curtis' name on the bill.  Well I called him while I was in the office and got that changed.  Makes me see red!!!!!

Then I went to the bank to activate my new debit card.  You are supposed to be able to do it at the ATM machine.  Wrong!!!!!    So, I went into the bank and we tried this again only the teller was having problems with her computer and had to reboot  it.  So, I left and went back later.

See why I don't like to leave my little house.   Everything is draining!

Back Home!

We got back home early this afternoon.  We didn't leave Missoula too early as they had freezing precipitation on the roads and everything was icy.  Buses were on a 2 hour delay.  We took our time.  We had a nice breakfast at IHOP.  And a shopping trip to Costco.  By then, the temps were starting to rise and the sun was trying to peak through the clouds.  But the pass was still a mess.  The plows were out.  We thought about staying one more night,  but more snow predicted for the mountains, so we decided to make the trip home today.

I will share some photos of our journey and a little look at our Big Sky state.

Heading down the road, getting near the mountains and seeing the weather front we are approaching.

That is not a b / w photo, it is the light!

This is winter in Montana.

An Evening Away

Curtis had to come to Missoula and stay the night, so I decided to come with and keep him and keep him company.  And get to go shopping!
It was an interesting drive over.  It was sunny, extremely windy and well into the 40's when we left Great Falls .  We were bucking a head wind the whole way which reeked havoc with our gas mileage.
It was lovely until we reached thenRocky Mountain front.  The clouds started to gather and the rain began.  y the time we reached the pass it was snowing hard and the roads were getting messy.  Once we got over the pass it started raining again until almost Missoula when the sun was peaking through the clouds.
Would post photos except my adaptor is down in the car.  One photo on the IPad to show how dark the sky was west of Lincoln looking north.  You could not see the mountains.

Have to share a couple of cute photos of the little man
Playing Peek a Boo with his nana!p

Cooper and the Flowers

Cooper is moving and inquisitive about everything!!!!!
He really likes the flowers that sit on my coffee table right now.

You can see  him checking the arrangement out.

Yep, he can't resist touching it.
And then when you tell him no, he gives you this wonderful grin!

He is too darn adorable!!!!!

I was Jinxed Today!

Every time I turned around something was happening.
I was doing laundry and set a basket on the landing to go downstairs.  Only it decided to go down the stairs and take 3 cartons of pop with it.  The pop has been stored inside with such cold temps.
Then it was lunch and I was getting some apple cider out of the pantry.  A cup of soup came with it and the bottom split and I had tomato soup all over the floor!
Then I was in my scrap space and cut my finger on a metal die.
It was not my day.

But I did get to spend some time with the little man and he was quite the card while I had the camera clicking.  Just a little preview!

And I completed another layout of this little man!

A Quiet Sunday

is exactly what I needed.  Although not as relaxed as yesterday.  I visited the grocery store.  I shoveled the walk while the car warmed up.   I got a roast put in the crock pot, which we will be eating here real soon.  I got most of Curtis' shirts ironed, while watching Planes.  And since then have been in my creating space, listening to the Olympics.  I love the Winter Olympics.  Not so fond of Winter though.  A couple of times the Winter Olympics have been in my homeland, in Calgary and Vancouver.

Here is a little creation I put together yesterday.  Finished up my December memory book, but making a few layouts for the grandkids albums.   This one is for the baby's.

Our Little Cheerleader!

Kirsten enrolled Harlee in cheerleading/ dance for the winter.  To get out and run around the gym a couple of times a week!
She asked e to take her the other evening.
I took my camera to capture a few shots.
First a little warm up
Then, away we go!
At the end of the evening, Harlee received the spirit stick for showing the most spirit!
She cheered her little heart out!

We finally got temps above 0F.  A heat wave after the minus 34F yesterday morning!(minus 52 with the wind chill)

I worked another shift today and won't be going back for a bit now.  Plan to try and enjoy my time off!

In the Flippin' Deep Freeze!

Our temps are way below zero and we have lots of snow outside!  It is suppose to go to close to 20 below tonight.  And I will be out in it early in the morning to go to work.  They called today to see if I would go in.  Ok. I said for half a shift!  Not sure what is going on, but a lot of folks are off sick.  I just want to stay healthy!
Made a quick run to the grocery store and shoveled the walk.  Not the kind of weather you want to be spending a lot of time outside!
Harlee stayed for dinner and then I took her to cheer practice.  She got to bring home the spirit award.
Helping Kirsten out!

A couple more valentine cards I made.  Getting them ready to get out in the mail.

Missing Out

Worked yesterday, so totally missed out on Groundhog Day and the Superbowl!    Came home and had a relaxing bath and went to bed.
It was snowing lightly driving home last night.  And we are to be in the deep freeze this week,
And Seattle will be pleased with the outcome of the Super Bowl!
Up early today.  No big plans except to get the wash done.

Start of a New Month-February

Here we go with a new month.  It is starting off pretty chilly.  But the sun shone brightly.  I did not venture outside.  Work called early this morning to see if I would work, but we needed to get new tires for our rig. That set us back a pretty penny!  Glad to have Curtis home.  Spent a quiet day at home in my scrap space working on my Dec. Memory book.  Did quite a few pages and Zi am actually lost done!

A page about Ginger, the gingerbread doll!
