Happy Halloween

I spent a busy day at work and came home to the clan here!

This guys delivers great pizza!!

Curtis got the crew out on the porch for a photo or two.

And the purple minion was a huge hit, according to her mama!

The boys stayed home with their nana. All our candy went and the light went off at 8:30. It truly was a gorgeous night out for trick or treating! I don't remember having warm nights like this when I was taking kids around the neighborhood.

It's Almost Here!

Yes, that would be Halloween! I will be working.

Kirsten always brings the kids to Trick or Treat in our neighborhood. So, she will get pizza and eat it here tomorrow evening. Nic wants to answer the door and hand out the candy. There will be a purple minion, a Lego character and a race car driver.

Harlee is to take treats to school. She came here after school to finish up here project. Here she is working on it. A little ghost poop! Nana cut out the little ghosts for her.

I am also trying to close a Pampered Chef party. And we will have snow by Sunday. Record highs tomorrow for Halloween. Glad it will be nice for the kids!

Carving Pumpkins

This morning I had to send my sister back to Maryland after spending the last week with her.  I think she was well entertained by the grandkids.  And enjoyed our trip to Lethbridge where she rekindled a friendship from high school.

I kept myself busy so I didn't have to think about her leaving.  Changed sheets.  Did some wash.  Vacuumed through.  Picked up Harlee and took her home so I could be there while they carved pumpkins.  Nic did a Lego pumpkin and Harlee a Minion themed one.  Cooper was napping while   the majority of carving occurred.

A Rainy Tuesday Afternoon

Here we are 30 degrees cooler than yesterday! Crazy Montana weather. But this is certainly more normal for the end of October.

It was time to go to work and get a flu shot. I had tried on Friday, when I was actually there and they said no. Yesterday, which was only Monday, I got a call from the unit to see if I had gotten it yet? Say, what???. So, I ventured in this morning and got it. Take Tylenol and push the water! Arm is slightly sore.

What photo should I post today?

Balloons?

The Desert?

Arches National Park?

Sunsets?

Beautiful trees?

Yellowstone park?

All up and coming!

It was a Beautiful Day!

Here we are way into Oct. and boy did we have a marvelous day! Sunny and it reached 77F. About to come to an abrupt end!
I went out walking this morning and the light was perfect on the changing leaves.
I came home and mowed the grass and my shins are feeling it tonight. Kirsten and I ran to Michaels. She. Needed tulle to finish H. halloween costume.
I ran to Goodwill to drop off some stuff. Ran to the post office and bank. Picked up bird food and came home.

Crafty Saturday!

After working all day Thursday. And having the munchkins here most of Friday I needed a quiet day to myself. Harlee wanted to stay when they dropped over yesterday. And then Nic would want to stay. So, I had to say no!

I got to be in my crafty space and create. I was working on Christmas cards. When they are going though the mail- that means not much lumpy or bumpy! I got quite a few made of three different varieties. I just can't stick to mass production of one type. Too boring for me. I try to keep things pretty simple, yet effective.

We are having unusually warm weather, which is ok with me. Yesterday was 67F. And the next couple of days are suppose to get into the 70's. Fine weather for mid Oct. and nice for the heat bill. Need to do a little outside work later today.

You don't get to see the cards I made yesterday, but cards more appropriate for the season. Halloween cards, which will go into the mail later this week.

The trick or treaters were cut on my Silhouette.

I think the above card is H,N and C!

The monster was cut on the Silhouette. The spider, web and boo are dies, I think by Paper Smooches.

And the 2 background frames on all cards are from Mama Elephant.

Fun with the Grandkids!

The munchkins have been off school the past two days. Teacher conventions! I told them we would go to the corn maze. Since I had to work yesterday, today was the day!!!!
We had to wait until their mum finished at work after lunch. We headed out of town. Little Cooper fell asleep on the drive.it was his nap time.

There are so many activities for the kids out there. They can run off all their excess energy. They can run in the hay bales. Go down the big slides. Try to rope a cow. Take a trainride.

Canadian Thanksgiving

Yesterday we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving! My family loves getting to celebrate 2 Thanksgivings. We had our good friends, Robyn and Walter join us. They have celebrated with us for the last few years!

Earlier in the day we did a little outside clean up. Put hoses away. Cover the AC unit. I pulled out dead flowers! Cooper came over and joined us cleaning up the playhouse.

Harlee helped me make little acorns as table favours. Nutter butter cookies, Hershey kisses and chipits. Thanks Pinterest!

We sent the kids out to rake up leaves while we finished up dinner!

A yummy dinner and a good time was had by all!
