September is here!

Well here we are in September!  I don’t know where the time goes. Not sure how I did everything when I was working too!

Back in the routine of picking Cooper up every day after school. Harlee will now be remote learning for the next week with increasing cases in the High School.

Sketches and Scrapbooking

I like to use a good sketch when scrapping and documenting my photos.

There are some good sites to use.

Page Maps by Becky Fleck has always been a favorite.

In the recent months I have been following Allison Davis at Scrapbook Generation. www.scrapbookgeneration

Currently taking her one page scrapbook class.

The above layout is my interpretation of her first sketch. Can’t upload sketch as it is a paid for class.

iSBD

Today has been international scrapbook day.  I have been crafting with my on line friends at https://www.acherryontop.com/.  Fun weekend full of games and friendship.  Since there is currently nothing local.

Belated Birthday!

We celebrated a birthday over the weekend. Mr C turned 8.  His family brought him over to open his gift bag.  Then, he and his friend, went outside for a bit to play with his new stuff.  Think they were a hit.

As they were leaving it was pouring rain, the temperatures were dropping and soon it had turned to snow.  They say almost 3 inches of precipitation.  We desperately need it.

A birthday layout from celebrating Mr N’s birthday last summer.
Using Simple Stories Birthday Blast collection.

Going Back in Time.

Today I have a layout from when Harlee and Nic were little gaffers.  Probably 2010 or 2011.  Will have to check this.  They were at our house playing out in the rain.

Umbrella cut file is from https://www.peartreecutfiles.co.uk/

BG paper is Echo Park.

To back the umbrella is dug into my scraps using papers from MME, Prima, Pink Fresh Studio, Bo Bunny,  Vicki Boutin, and Cocoa Vanilla.

I stamped spring using Kerri Bradford Denali stamps.

And the chipboard and ephemera is from Simple Stories Vintage Bontanicals.

A few splatters using white paint and Vicki Boutin dry powder paint pigments.

Trouble Makers

Kirsten lives an interesting life at her house! Never a dull moment over there.

This week she swears Chevelle fed the 2 dogs her new Scentsy Bar.!!  Chevelle has been fascinated with the smelly bars since last weekend when she was sniffing them all.

Using collections from American Crafts (Jen Hatfield )

Using Tags

I was having difficulty trying to figure out what to do with this photo. I looked at several sketches and nothing was doing it for me.  Then I decided to use tags to support the photo.

I used Cocoa Vanilla Legendary Collection. And Tim Holtz tag die to cut the tags.

And I like the end result.

I am still Creating

Still finding time to scrapbook.  Even though I took my sewing machine with me south to Arizona and actually used it.  I truly missed scrapping and making cards.  Next season I will premake kits to take with.

A layout of the little one.  Using a https://justnick.myshopify.com/cut file and then backed it.  Also using mostly Vicki Boutin papers from American Crafts.
