I was up early and had Curtis up to the airport by 6am for him to do an Avis drive to Bozeman. Tomorrow I get to repeat this, only got to work in the NICU.
It was dark out when we left the house to drive across town. The little bit of moon was shining brightly with Venus below it. I guess the Northern Lights had been dancing across the skies earlier. The airport is up on a hill and you can see the whole town below. And today the horizon was just turning pink. Very pretty. I am glad I was up early to see it.
It was a card making session for me over the weekend. I have a couple of birthdays later this month and early next month. And it will also be Canadian Thanksgiving. It still gets celebrated in this household.
Also I knew Darnell was starting her NBUS challenge as in never before used schtuff!!!
She has quite a following on her blog and does this challenge a couple times a year. And I believe I participated in it last go round. I highly recommend you visit her blog for some wonderful cards she creates and leads an interesting life in her playroom with Hammy, the hamster.
So this is one of the cards I created. I have had this window die (from Poppy Stamps) for quite a while and have never used it. This is inside a house looking out at the fall colours. The trees were a Memory Box stamp to which I added some stickles. Also a first time to use the little pumpkin stamps.

Labour Day
I have already tried posting this and somewhere between push and the final destination of my blog, it disappeared! So trying, yet once again.
Curtis and I have done some work this Labour Day. Since the sun is shining we got outside and cleaned the inside of our SUV out! Vacuumed the floors. Took the mats out and washed them. Wiped down the inside. Threw out the excess trash. There was no less than 3 tripods in the back! It looks pretty good in there now.
I also managed to wash the windows at the front of the house. They are clean and sparkly.
We did get some good rain over the weekend. Kirsten and I braved the inclement weather and headed to the Farmer's market for lots of fresh veggies.

And there was snow in the mountains! They had to close down Going to the Sun road in Glacier National Park because of the driving conditions!
Sharing some pages of my Albuquerque Balloon fiesta that we went to last year.

Love the words you can cut on the Silhouette!

It's a smaller book 8x8. Not too lumpy , bumpy so it could fit lots of pages.

I Love Autumn
Bring on fall! My favourite time of the year!

They are predicting a very cool and wet Labour Day weekend! With temps going into the 30's at night! Yes, you read right, and snow in the mountains! Much needed for the fire situation in this state. The rain already started last evening.
The rain on our table out back.

With it turning cooler yesterday, Kirsten had a turkey in her freezer she wanted to cook up! I went fir a yummy dinner, while Curtis did an Avis drive to E. Glacier. So, here us what I am doing today.

Cooking up the turkey carcass for soup. Only she neglected to give me any turkey to put in it.
And I got a sweet package from Cait yesterday.

Beautiful fall Washi from Impress stamps in Seattle. It's such an awesome store!
Hope to do lots of crafting this weekend! Harlee's having a sleepover tonight.

Big Storm is Brewing!
And we are to get lots of rain and much colder temperatures! Snow predicted for the mountains. Much needed for all the fires in our state. I feel bad for all the folks that wanted to go camping this weekend.
I spent a pretty quiet day at home. Did something to my knee, so trying to keep off it. Yesterday got the grass all mowed with the bad weather probes ahead!
Yesterday after school Kirsten and all the munchkins were here. Cooper was outside and I took some photos of him. He is getting big too quickly. He is all boy! He usually has a dirty face. And he loves his mama!

One little layout of the two big kids earlier in the summer!

The background paper is from Bo Bunny and all the little squares were cut from MME 6x6 pads. I rounded all the corners to soften it up.
October Afternoon mini letters for the title and a MME decorative brad.

September Has Arrived!
Eek!!!! Not sure I am ready to tackle a new month! But it is here, whether I am ready or not! Hope to do better blogging this next month! I was almost a failure last month with only 9 entries.
Yesterday, the air cleared out after a cold front and the wind blowing in. So good to open the windows and let some fresh air blow through. And I was able to go walking. Found thus little gem while I was out.

The leaves are starting to change. This is the tree in my front yard over the weekend.

Quite a few of those leaves came down Sat. Evening when the wind was blowing like a crazy women!
I have been working on a couple of things!
I got 2 of these Heidi Swapp memory planners super cheap! That us what happens when you visit Michaels out of the blue! I had just thought about starting to look for something like this for a big trip my sister and I are taking next year.
They were calendars which I altered into travel journals.

I will share more later.

This is the other project I am working on. Our trip to the balloon festival in Albuquerque last fall! I like the smaller 8x8 size for my travels. This is the first page in my book.

I was up early yesterday to drive Curtis across town to the airport for an Avis shuttle drive. He always has interesting, to say the least. Yesterday they ran out of gas very close to their destination! So his trips frequently take longer than his estimations! But it meant I was up early and got my house all clean. Need to get the lawn mowed today! Big storm anticipated for the holiday weekend with much needed rain and much colder temperatures! I am thinking cooking and baking over the weekend!
