Today is Canadian Thanksgiving and we celebrate and say thank you in this household. One of the few things to keep my Canadian Heritage alive. So there will be a turkey going into the oven shortly. The pies are baked. And we look forward to a yummy dinner this evening.
It probably makes it easier living close to the Canadian border. Although most of my family and friends are back east in Ontario.
Now, Caitlin is carrying on the tradition at her place in Seattle. She has friends coming for dinner to help her celebrate.
I am happy I got to create this weekend. Although I seem to be
somewhat tired today. I got to finish up 14 layouts the last two days,
which is pretty good. I believe it helped having pictures picked out
and matching up papers to go with them. Just took some embellishment
with me and therefor I was able to pack quite minimally. And I also cut some titles on my Silhouette.
Papers used Kaiser Craft- Hunt and Gather
Simple Stories- Take a Hike
Titles and leaves were cut on my Silhouette
Bling
Papers used- Carta Bella- Cool Summer
Amy Tangerine - Stitched
Title was cut on my Silhouette
Jenni Bowlin tag
Authentique Fresh Details
Kaiser Craft- Sandy Toes
Washi
MME and BG enamel dots

Create, Create, Create!
That is my motto for the weekend!
I am attending The Central Montana Creative Rendezvous!

I was the first one to show up yesterday morning. But some of the ladies had been up half the night before!
I decided not to show up after my conference on Friday. I was too pooped to participate!
But I worked on lots of layouts and got 10 completed. Haven't taken photos if any yet! I think it made it easier I tried making some page kits before I went. At least choosing some papers and cutting titles on my Silhouette!
Back today for more fun. And tomorrow I will be cooking turkey dinner as I celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with friends and family north of the border. It is tradition in this household!
A layout of Harlee's kindergarten photo. Not a typical school photo layout.
Most of the product is from Simple Stories Enchanted.

Thursday Tidbits!
Not sure where the week has gone, but it has moved along far too fast.
Today and tomorrow I am at a nursing conference here in Great Falls, so I can accrue some CEU's when I have to renew my nursing license at the end of next year. On needs to get 24 of them and they cost money. But I will have earned 12 by the end of tomorrow. That is a good thing.
And then I have a Creative Getaway on the Weekend. That I am looking forward too, so I have been trying to put together page kits for it. I had pictures developed on Monday. Hope I can catch up on all the photos I have of the grandkids! Always fun to create with others.
Yesterday, I went walking with Kirsten and Cooper in the morning. Kirsten had to get a new stroller for Cooper, as the one she had disintegrated when they went to the fair. She watches the garage sale sites and was able to pick up a jogging stroller for $40. Then I headed to the grocery store to look for a turkey since it is Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. We will be celebrating on Monday, when Kirsten is off. They didn't have any last week, when I was there, but there were some out yesterday and I picked mine up since I am busy for the next few days. Looking forward to a yummy turkey dinner, as is the rest of the crew.
After the snow on the weekend we have experienced a pretty nice week. Tomorrow supposed to be up near 80 again. This crazy autumn weather. I also took Harlee back to Girl Scout last evening and it was drizzling when we went.
I have been cancelled twice this week from work as the census is low. Once they forgot to call me. Not good.
Just a little layout of Cooper from summer photos.
Papers used were from Adornit-Construction collection
Boy Scrabble tile- Echo Park
Decorative Brads -MME
Mini words- Authentique
Boy Sticker- Carta Bella

First Snow of the Season!
Yesterday was Oct. 3rd and we had our first snowfall of the season. Not just in the air, but it actually stuck to the ground. And after taking Curtis across town to the airport early this morning us on the east side had more. Our high was in the low 30's and it is currently only 36F here. Brrr... It isn't even Canadian Thanksgiving yet, by gosh!
Yesterday, we also had the Grandkids, while Kirsten was working. Tim flew to Phoenix to to help a buddy drive home, who has been at motorcycle mechanic school down there. They are currently driving home and I bet they will be back tonight, if the roads are good. We had a busy day with the 3 minions. We took them out to Home Depot, as it was kids day and they built a couple of little boxes. Plus, Curtis and I picked up a couple of items we needed. Cooper covered his ears the whole time. We also visited Amazing Toys, where I left a buck or two. Nic had had an extremely good week and he deserved a reward. Lunch was tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Perfect for a snowy, cold day. We put The Polar Express on the TV and had quiet time with Cooper, but he didn't want to nap. Nana sure did, after being since 4am. And then Nana and Harlee backed cookies. She's great at cracking eggs. But not so great at tipping Vanilla into a spoon. And that stuff is expensive! We all had dinner and soon their mam was here. Good thing I put Cooper into some jammies, as he crashed on the drive home. He is pretty excited about the snow. A new word in his vocabulary.
Nic got to dress up like a fireman at Home Depot, too!
I have been creating my Halloween cards while Curtis is on an Avis drive to Calgary. Not, such a long drive as Idaho Falls, which he did last week.

Happy World Card Making Day
Yes, it is World Card Making Day! I can't sleep so I am up being productive and creating.
I will be suffering and oh, so tired later today! Especially after watching the grandkids all day! Their dad us out of town and their mum needs to work!
Yesterday, was an early day as I was out if the house by 7:30 to take Harlee to school. I then ran to the bank, loaded up on groceries and visited the post office. Harlee was here after school until her mum finished work around 7pm.
I had worked on Thursday and it was a draining day and I was plenty tired yesterday too!
It has been blowing like crazy since I woke up at 4am. And raining hard! They say snow tomorrow with highs only in the 40's over the weekend! I, for one, am not ready for this.
A couple of cards for your viewing pleasure!

Using dies from Memory Box and Savy Stamps. I covered some card stock with the glitter tape and cut out the pumpkin.

Using a left over chipboard hat. Some Halloween Washi and some Colorshine.
