A Few Last Maui Photos

Had classes to do at work this afternoon and that pretty much shot my day.
but I have accomplished 4 layouts in the last couple of days.
I really should be organizing page kits and printing photos since i will be scrapping the weekend of the 20th.

I Must Have Been Out of My Mind

or else on vacation in Hawaii. Our second day on Maui we decided to go to the top of the Haleakala Crater for Sunrise. That meant getting up at 3am to catch the tour bus that would take us up the cater in the dark. We went from sea level to over 10,000 foot elevation. And my was it chilly- who takes clothing meant for winter when you are traveling to paradise and oh,my was it windy. The night sky was awesome with all the stars and moving satellites overhead. And the clouds moving all around as the sun started to appear. Totally amazing. And there was a Hawaiian native up there chanting to greet the dawn. So worth the trip.
Our afternoon was spent on our ship balcony watching some humpback whales, who travel from Alaska to Hawaii to winter and deliver their babies.

Happy Easter

It was a fun Easter having Harlee and Nic staying with us. From dying eggs, to hunting for eggs this morning in the backyard. The snow from Friday was all melted, thank goodness. The kids didn't get up too early, which was alright by me. It was a nice day and we were able to spend time outside with the kids.

We Interrupt these Vacation Photos

With a little Easter celebration. We have Toots and Lugnut staying with us while their mum and dad are up in Kalispell. Kirsten has a derby bout up there and they are having a break from their kids.
Kirsten dropped them off early this morning and grandpa made pancakes for breakfast- Nic ate 4 and Harlee ate 2.
Later this morning we took them over to Big R to see the baby chick and bunnies.
After lunch we had a little egg dying episode and will get to eat them for Breakfast tomorrow. The kids ate a good dinner of homemade macaroni and cheese. They had a bath in nana's big tub and were in bed and asleep by 8:37. Ppretty good, cause this nana is worn out!!!!

Big green plants. One of our drivers commented that what she used to have as houseplants on the mainland are now growing in her outside garden, only 10 times as big.






Flower from the African Tulip tree-they are beautiful.

The Seven Sacred pools at the Wai'anapanapa State Park. We visited more national parks in this little trip than I ever have on the mainland.
