Still Here!

I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. Just had a visit back east in Canada to visit my folks. Took Caitlin with to visit her grandparents, since she isn't working this summer. Had a good visit. Saw some other family members. Always much too short to cram everything in you want to. And then there is always 2 days tied up in travel. So, I am back and have already worked a shift at the hospital and it was a doozy. Off today and head back to work for the weekend. Haven't seen Curtis for almost 2 weeks as he has been working out of town. Posting the only photo I took while back east of my mum and her younger sister, Doreen.

Swimming At Nana's

Kirsten came over yesterday afternoon with the kidlets and it was warm, and I had set the swimming pool up earlier, so the water would warm up a little. Both H&N played in the water. And Harlee was in until her teeth were chattering.

Awesome Blossoms!!

The tiger lilies in the backyard are starting to bloom and I thought I would capture them on camera. By the time I get back from my mums next week they won't be so pretty. Also the bunny joined me in the backyard and I got some good shots of him. And the tomatoes I think like a planted them in the front this year, where there is more sunshine.

Birthday Celebrations

Last evening we headed over to Kirsten's and Tim's place to celebrate Nicholas' birthday. I think it was a little overwhelming for him. Harlee was certainly into it all and would LOVE all of Nic's presents. Nicholas wasn't sure about the birthday cake, either. He got his fingers all stuck together with frosting and didn't like that. But liked the cake once he licked the frosting off his fingers.

Happy First Birthday, Mr Nicholas

This evening the family will be celebrating Nicholas' first birthday. Where has that first year gone?? He is no longer a baby, but a big boy with a mouthful of teeth and a towhead. And he is into everything and climbing onto everything. Anyway, nana thinks he is cute with his adorable toothy smile.

Creative Weekend

Have been able to actually scrap some this weekend and get a few pages cranked out.
Sickies around the Barrow household--Curtis woke up with some flu bug yesterday morning and Caitlin threw up most of the night. I just hope I can say no to this nasty flu bug. Fireworks started going off last night and then our power was out for a few hours through the night. Good reason to go to bed. How dependent we are on electricity.
Hope you enjoy my layouts of the grandbabies.

Fairbanks--June 18th

Our morning in Fairbanks was spent on a Riverboat tour--with a float plane landing beside us, seeing Susan Butchers famous sled dogs and visiting a Chena Native village. I believe I did laundry when we got back to the hotel. And then for the evening we visited North Pole, Alaska. We even got a visit in with Santa. A meal included in the package at a great Chinese restaurant.
