Just checking In!

Oh, my gosh, I am dead beat today, after working both Sat., Sun and last Thursday.  Still have tomorrow to do and then I am done for a bit.  Shocked I actually worked all the shifts I was scheduled to do and then some.  It has been a long, long time since I have worked this much in a row.  And I am feeling it!!!
Didn't do much today.  But did get the laundry done and even hung most of it outside on the line.  Did play in my scrap room.  It needs a clean up in the near future.  And I did take a nap this afternoon, since I couldn't go back at 3:45 this morning.
And it has been a scorcher.  The weather earlier today says it reached 99F.  It has been a very hot, hot weekend to say the least.  I did get my watering done earlier this morning.
And Curtis is off on an Avis run to Calgary tomorrow.
Happy Monday all.  Almost a new month!!!

Another Friday!

Another Friday has come and almost gone.
Curtis is out on a blood run to Bozeman.

I ran a bunch of errands this afternoon.  And picked up Harlee from Day Camp.  She was very excited. The big fire truck had come and hosed them all down.  She was drenched.  And she earned 3 brownie badges at camp.

Yesterday, while I was finishing up at the dermatologist office, work called to see if I could come in early.  One of our nurses had to leave for a transport call.  So in I went.  I am scheduled to work tomorrow and Sunday and believe I will actually get to work.  It has been a long time since I put in a 12 hour shift, let alone 2.  I will be bushed.

Kirsten and the boys came over this morning, while it wasn't so hot out.  Nic played with the house and sprayer.  And the little twerp loves the water squirt guns.  He will just shoot it right at you.   One went home with him.

And, of coarse, a layout from last fall at the corn maze.  This was for a challenge where you needed to cut up your photo.

Paper used were all old MME - Abbey Road, Lost and Found, Boy Crazy
 MME enamel dots
Title was letter sticker from Arctic Frog (now that is old)

The Temperatures are getting Cranked Up

and they are predicting temps near 100F for the weekend.  EEK!!!!  Way too hot for this lady.  Will be hanging out in the air conditioning.
Not a good situation as the mountains are short on moisture and presents a high danger for fire!!!  Especially with the 4th coming too.

Yesterday we dropped Harlee off for the day to Girl Scout Day camp.  She was pretty excited and had a great day.

The northern lights were dancing last night and Curtis and Kirsten were out taking photos.  Not this gal,  stuck in my bed sleeping!

Today somewhere between the boys visiting and an appointment, I managed to get the upstairs cleaned.
And came home and finished up a couple of layouts to share with you.

A Weekend to Celebrate!!!

Summer has arrived according to the calendar.  I love the longer days!  Sad to think they get shorter from here on out.
The flowers in the garden love the sun and the longer hours of daylight.

And we celebrated these two folks.  It was Caitlin's birthday on Friday.  And it was Father's day yesterday.

Cait's present arrived early last week and her roomie wouldn't let her open it until Friday arrived.  Yesterday we watched Cooper while Kirsten and Tim took the big kids fishing.  And they caught a few little ones.  Some trout and a perch.  Cooper was just has happy to be with us, I think.

Just a couple of layouts I did over the weekend.  Lighting is bad in the one below.

Getting this posted early as I have to work this afternoon.  Yes, I say, I actually might get to work a few hours!!!
It is currently very grey and overcast.  Maybe some rain showers? We could use a few.
Curtis took off on the bike yesterday morning to go and visit his dad, since it will be Father's Day this weekend.
I ran to a baby shower yesterday afternoon to deliver a gift.
So here is my layout.

I used paper from Echo Park( Bundle of Joy), SEI (Chick a doo) and my scrap basket

Day Tripping #2

Spending the night in a hotel room with the 3 grandkids is an interesting adventure! They were up late and took a bit to get settled. And did they sleep in - oh, no!! Nic was awake around 6am!
And did he chow down breakfast! He had a muffin, egg, box of cereal snd half a waffle! Some days he has a hollow leg!
It was nice The Museum of the Rockies opened early at 8am.

There have been a lot of dinosaur nones dug up in MT. Not far from where we live. Both kids had studied them last year. So it was a good time to visit. Harlee was very impressed with the size of a Triceratops, which she personally studied!

There was a special chocolate exhibit and the rooms all smelled like chocolate.

Quite a few Yellowstone critters created by artists! They were very cool!

The kids loved the remade area of Yellowstone. It was for kids 8 and under!

The fire man outfit was at least 3 sizes too small for Nic! He insisted it would fit. Thank goodness I could talk him out of trying on the pants!

Out little park rangers!

Touching a meteor.

It was a good adventure! We had to do it this week as the next few weeks are busy. Girl Scout day camp for Harlee next week! Followed by 3 weeks of swimming lessons!

Fun with the Grandkids!

Yesterday, Kirsten and I hit the road with the munchkins! We decided the big kids are at an age they would love some of the things Montana has to offer! We are so lucky to have 2 National Parks within driving range! We headed south.
So that means Yellowstone Park!

All packed up and ready to head out!

Scenery along the way! We went through some heavy rain! But managed to time our picnic lunch right!

Waiting for Old Faithful to do its thing!

Wow!!!! The skies cleared for when the geyser blew!

Cutest photo ever! Everyone has a camera! Except Cooper! So he used a cracker!

The traffic leaving Old Faithful

These guys were causing the traffic jam!

Especially the little babies!

Fun time after a long day in the car!

Fun facts:
Cooper is a terrific traveller for only being 2! And he hated the swimming pool! He loves the bathtub! Go figure! He had a fit every time his nana left the hotel room without him!

Nic thought Old Faithful spouting was way too short! He ended up with a compass! It was his first visit to Yellowstone!

Harlee was real excited to be going back to Yellowstone. She loved
seeing the bison.

Day 2 tomorrow!

Time for Tea with Cooper

Last week when Cooper was over he got the tea set out of the little playhouse.  And proceeded to make us tea!!!  How does he know about this? Anyway, he gave me a cup and it had a little bit of dirt in it for me to drink.  I shared a pot of tea with him.  I love the imagination and the pretend and make believe of a toddler!
And I enjoyed my quiet weekend.  Curtis did not get back home until 7:30 last night.  He had a great weekend and captured some great photos.  I caught up with the wash, I baked muffins, I scrapbooked and just generally did nothing.  Felt great!!  I do like my own company sometimes.  Part of being a Pisces!
And it is darn chilly out.  After being close to 90F earlier in the week, we hardly made it to 60F yesterday.  And today isn't much warmer, although it is sunny with big white fluffy clouds.

My layout for today, back in the cold of winter!
It is hard to see, but I embossed white  snowflakes on the pink.
And also embossed the paper under the banner.  It was a lot of work

It's Official!!!

Summer vacation has begun!

And I have the house to myself for the rest of the weekend.  Curtis is up in Glacier park on a photo workshop and left early this morning.

Kirsten and I went out this morning.

I mailed off Cait's birthday present.  I want to be sure it gets to Seattle by next Friday.

Then I headed to pick up Harlee, while Kirsten got Nic.

I took them all to DQ to treat them to ice cream.  Harlee had a Blizzard and the two boys had cones.

And then it was time to play in Nana's backyard park for the rest of the afternoon.  I don't know about them, but this nana is tired.  They played with bubbles, play doh, squirt guns and the hose.  Every one got wet!!!  Good thing it is plenty warm out today.
