March is Almost Out the Door!

And I think I can only dream of better weather for April.  At this time last year it was Easter and it was beautiful weather.  I had the grandkids for quite a few days and they were able to be outside and play because it was so nice.  NOT this year!!!!

I worked all day  yesterday.  It was dull and cold and started snowing around 4pm.  Curtis bundled up and took Harlee to her first soccer match of the season.  They didn't win.  But I heard Harlee did awesome from a gal I work with.  She left work for a bit to watch her daughter play.

Saturday was a quiet day at home in my craft space.  My head is still full of goop.  Hard to imagine so much stuff can accumulate in ones sinuses.  Blow, blow, blow!!!

No big plans for this week.  Head into work a couple of days to cover short periods for a couple of gals.

Layout is Harlee at swim lessons last summer.

Most of the product I used was from Crate Paper-The Pier.
The red border of sea creatures is  Quickutz die,  I like the touch of red on the page.
I like how the background paper and the red chevron creates a feeling of waves on this swimming page.

TGIF

although it really doesn't matter much to me anymore!!!  Or never did since I often worked weekends and my week was just beginning.

My day seems to have sped along and is almost over.  Got to the bank.  Kirsten and I got the cup cakes delivered to the school.  The kids were out early at 1:15 today and I went with Kirsten to get them.  This afternoon, I ran to the grocery store for a couple of things.  Took a Cricut cartridge to a gal at work to borrow.  Picked up some adhesive at JoAnn's.

Watching Cooper, while Kirsten is taking his siblings to the carnival at the school.  He ate dinner and then conked out as he didn't take an afternoon nap.  Makes it pretty easy babysitting.

Running out of layouts to share, so I better do a little creating tomorrow.  But I did get my Easter cards made today with a simple cutout done on my Silhouette.  I like easy, peasy!!!!

My layout today is of when Harlee took her first ride on grandpa's motorcycle last summer.

Barrow's Bakery

Thank goodness I am feeling better today, after being a total couch potato yesterday.

Today the Barrow bakery was functioning full tilt.  Tomorrow is the carnival at H&N's school  Kirsten volunteered to bake cup cakes for the Cake Walk.  Got the oven heating up.  Got the Kitchen Aid going and away I went.

We managed to bake 5 dozen cupcakes in no time flat.  Kirsten got them all frosted and we sprinkled them too.  Nothing too fancy.  But the kids will love them.

It has been another snowy day here!!!  When will it ever stop!   I had planned to have Kirsten and the kids for supper since Harlee's soccer practice is right across the road at 6pm.  But her practice got canceled because of the snow.  And plans changed, but not for a little girl named Harlee.  She was so upset she wasn't coming for supper, so her mum called and brought her over.  Papa took her home on the way to his camera club meeting.

Layout is from Christmas of 2012.  I think Nic had just learned to wink!
Any way it was a cute photo to get a layout done.

Under the Weather!

Thanks to Mr. Cooper sharing his cold with his mum and his nana.  Dripping nose, sneezing like crazy!   You get the pictures.

It hit yesterday afternoon. Thank goodness I had been so productive in the morning.  I had vacuumed through and wiped off the wood floor.  And then I picked up Kirsten and headed to Walmart to pick up a few things.  Groceries are certainly cheaper out there.
I had needed some yeast.  At Albertsons it was over $8 for the jar.  At Walmart yesterday I got it for under $4.  I hate going there but some things are a bargain.  Came home and changed the bed and cleaned my bathrooms.  And collapsed.  Still feeling crappy this morning.  My head is so full.  My ears are ringing.  My teeth are aching.  Hope I can get rid of this bug quickly.  Chilling today.  Just have to pick up the grandkids after school.

The weather sets the tone as it is grey and dull out and we may get precipitation yet!

Need a bright, cheery, colourful layout out to improve the day.

Most of the papers are from Fancy Pants.
I cut the title on my Silhouette.
The rings were cut with a Quickutz die.
And the circles with a punch.
Added some decorative brads and the dragonfly, which I believe is Pink Paislee

Starting a New Week

and we are still having that white stuff fall from the sky.  Will it ever be over.  Here I chat with Cait on the coast and her temps are darn near 60F.  So jealous!

Sitting in my scrap room picking up a bit, so I can go forward and scrap our Disneyland trip.  Have the photos all organized and just need to go to work on them.

Got most of Curtis' shirts ironed this morning.  And have delivered the last of the Girl Scout cookies I needed to hand out.

And the best news of the day, Caitlin FINALLY got approval to have an MRI!!!!!!  Let's get on with the process and figure out what is wrong with her back.  It has been a tortuous procedure getting all this stuff approved through Workman's comp.

Watched the grandkids last evening while Kirsten had a work meeting.  Little Cooper couldn't stop sneezing and had a runny nose.  Poor little guy.  But they were all very good.

My layout today is from Nic learning to swim last summer. Really trying hard to catch up on photos.

Paper used are all MME( some were pretty old)
Title was Sassafrass Lass stickers
Turtle is K&Co I believe.

Busy Friday

Yesterday turned out to be kind of a busy day.

We watched Cooper all morning.
We also had an appointment with a financial adviser since Curtis is retiring in a couple of months.  After Cooper left I ran to the bank and delivered a few more cookies to work.

And this is what we dealt with all day.  Snow, snow and more snow.

But today, the sun shines ever so brightly.   But it is cold out.

We headed over to Kirsten's a little after 5pm.  Curtis stayed with the boys.  Kirsten and I took Harlee to her Cheer/ Dance performance.  She cheered her little heart out.  And she knew her dance routine down pat.   Kirsten didn't get the memo that she was to have black pants.  But that way she stuck out and we could really focus on her.

And the princess came and spent the night with her nana and papa.  We all watched Frozen.  She wanted pancakes for breakfast.  She swam in the big jacuzzi tub.  And is out with her papa, down by the river taking photos.

Will leave you with one little, easy peasy layout I did.

Almost Spring!

so the calendar says!!!!!  But that is not what the weather man is saying.  We are once again under a winter storm watch until this evening.  Will this winter season ever end!!!

Have had a much needed quiet day at home.  Although I did go out for a bit this morning with Kirsten.  We went to Sams to pick up a few things and especially Frozen for the grandkids.  And I guess they were watching it after school this afternoon.  I also picked up Girl Scout cookies from here house and just delivered a bunch to the hospital.

So, I have been able to spend some time in my scrap space, creating.  The desk is a disaster!!!!

Just a little layout of Harlee help make Christmas cookies.  Actually getting to the end of Christmas pictures from this year to scrap.  Seeing a dent in a lot of photos I had waiting to get scrapped.  May actually get to start on the Disney album sooner than later.

Not much more than Work

the last few days.  The unit is slightly busy with 14babies.  I was in bed by 8pm last night and slept so much better than the night before.    But now I am off and am going to enjoy it.  The weather isn't supposed to be that good so I probably will scrap away.

I worked until noon, but was there until almost 1pm.  I headed to Target to pick up the movie Frozen for Harlee.  They were totally sold out of Blu Rays.  Kirsten says there are some at Sams for the same price, so the two of us may be heading there tomorrow.  Cane home, had a bite to eat and then had a nap.

The blower on our furnace has been extra loud these last couple of days.  Curtis called the furnace guys and he came out to check it this afternoon and replace the blower.

And Kirsten got all the Girl scout cookies separated out, so I will be helping to deliver those over the weekend.

Just a Little Bit Wiped Out

as I have worked all weekend.  It was busy, but not crazy!  So, I am dragging my butt this morning.  But, it is OK, as I don't really have a lot to do.  And I am headed back again tomorrow for another day.  I cut my shifts to only have to do 2 shifts per pay.  So, I am not sure why my manager has to group them all together.   I guess that is where the need is.

I baked hot cross buns on Friday to take to work with me and they were greatly appreciated.  Everyone looks forward to the day that I take them in.  And upset if they have missed them!

No big plans for today.  Maybe scrap just a little.  And change the bed and do a load of laundry for my hubby.

A couple of cute photos of Mr. C from last week.  He and I have been spending quite a few hours together lately.  And he is the cutest.

And after reaching into the 60's yesterday we are under a winter storm watch for today.  Currently raining as it is too warm to snow as yet.

And a layout of the munchkins on July4 last year.  Love the look Harlee is giving her brother.

Pampered Chef Open House

Daughter # 1 has decided to become a Pampered Chef consultant after going to a party with me. I have quite a few of their kitchen gadgets. They have awesome product, even though a little pricey at times. She hosted her open house at our place. And made some yummy goodies to serve. She loves to cook so this should fit right in her lifestyle. And bring her in a little extra income.

So you know what I was busy doing -cleaning house. Vacuuming. Mopping. Anyway, it is done for a bit now.

And why am I awake in the middle of the night. Woke up with so much goop in the back of my throat I had to get up and take an allergy pill. And now I can't go back to sleep!

A layout of Nic from last years 4th of July parade.

Sneaking In

With a blog post for today.
Not much exciting, except it was truly a beautiful day out. Sunny, almost warm with the high over 50F. And of coarse, a little wind!

I watched Cooper this morning. He took an exceptionally long nap this morning. Which was great for the nana.

I got the laundry done and put away.

Kirsten stopped in with all the kids for a while this afternoon.

And I watched Catching Fire.

Terrific Tuesday!

And why not!!!!

After a couple of inches of new snow last night, the sun came out and warmed things up and it mostly melted away.

It was a fairly productive day. I got my cheque book balanced and a couple bills paid. I got the bathrooms cleaned. I delivered a baby gift that came back from Seattle with me. Always great to see cute little bambino. He is little compared to our hulk! I am sure he will be there in no time. Had a visit from Kirsten and Cooper. And I got to scrapbook a little. Talked to Curtis a couple of times too.

Papers are from Bo Bunny and Echo Park

MME decorative brads
Washi tape

One Little Picture

Scrapped 3 times, I am not the scrapper who replicates layouts with the same photo. I do unique and individual layouts for each photo.

You have seen this layout already.

And over the weekend I made layouts for the other two munchkins.

Which one of the triple play do you like the best? I know which one I am partial to.

After having such a warm day yesterday, we awoke to rain and ute continued for most of the day. This evening huge white flakes are coming down? I simply have had enough of this white stuff! Curtis did not have such a fun drive up to the Flathead.

Crazy, crazy Time Change

The last couple of weeks my time clock has been going back and forth like crazy. And once again last night. Unfortunately I had agreed to go into work for half a shift when they called yesterday. That meant I was up super early and out the door a little after 5:30. I had to come home and have a nap- actually for a little over an hour!

And temps reached over 60F. But that old wind was blowing. Melting snow like crazy. The Missouri River is looking very full these days!

He's so intent on playing in these photos. He is suffering with teething these days!

One little layout

Happy Saturday

Have been up since early morning. Bad habit from having to work at an early hour. And I am just a morning person!

Yesterday was jam packed. I spent the morning watching Cooper.
He still likes the flowers!

He is turning into a little boy and not such a baby anymore.

After school Harlee was here. Fed her dinner and took her to cheer practice.

Curtis had been out at the base all afternoon with a friend. They were representing the camera club at a community fair. I met up with them after dropping Harlee off for some dinner. And it was after 9 when we got home.

A layout of Nic's birthday I finished up this week. Been awhile since tackling a 2 pager!

All the papers used were MME
I cut the treasure map out using a Quickutz die
The coins were cut out and then embossed
The banner was made from 2 different Crate Paper products.
Definitely mixing the old with the new!

Happy Birthday to Me!

It is my day to celebrate!!! But it was pretty quiet around here today!

My buddy, Cooper hung out with me this morning.

I ran to the cable company. Ever since we got our new entertainment centre a couple of years ago, the cable box was too big and we could not shut the doors. I was at the cable place a couple of weeks ago and asked them if they had smaller boxes and what you had to do to get one. They give them out in special circumstances was what I got told. Well, I have a grandson wanting to be in everything. So, I guess it was special enough. Cause I came home with a much smaller box!

I came home and made my first batch of hot cross bus for the Easter season!

I talked with Cait. I talked with my sister.
And Harlee brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers after school.

And Curtis and I went out for a yummy dinner. We both had prime rib.

Have to celebrate with a birthday layout of Harlee.

It's Melting!!

The temp was up around 50F, so all the recent snow was majorly melting. Lots of puddles around!

I spent the morning with Cooper while his mama started a new job. He was rather crabby. He is teething and he is miserable.

Look at those dimples.
He is fascinated with the pedals of the piano.

And he is officially up on all fours crawling.

Got the sheets changed.
And I went to the grocery store and Target.
And made banana muffins and a yummy dinner.
That's about enough for today!

Monday, Monday!!!

I have been sneezing all afternoon and I hope I have not got a cold now.  And I am pooped.

Went to a mandatory class at work this morning.  Good thing, or they said they would have called to see if I could have worked today.

I watched Cooper for a bit while Kirsten had a job interview.  And she has a new job at the coffee shop just a few blocks away.

I got the laundry accomplished.

And listening to the news tonight we are way above our average snowfall for the year.  And average year is 41in.  and we have had almost 60in.  And March can be one of the snowiest months of the year.  Gosh, is it any wonder I am so over winter!!!

Home, Sweet Home!

After being gone since Monday it was good to get home this evening, althoough I hated very much leaving Caitlin behind. Her back is feeling some better than when I arrived on Monday? But she has had a quiet week and rested her back, instead of commuting an hour to work and sitting or standing all day. Her nerve test showed abnormal finding and her doc recommended she have an MRI. He thinks she could have a herniated disc at S1. But the workmanship comp has not approved it, therefore it needs to go through peer review. Everything takes twice as long having to go through them. But I will be headed back out there if she requires surgery.
Meanwhile, Curtis drove out on Thursday to retrieve me. We started out early this morning. And after enjoying spring like temps in the 50's the last few days the cruel winter temps at home we're not nice. Roads were bare and dry until we hit the Montana/ Idaho border. And it was minus 22F when we crossed our last pass in Montana. That is a 72 degree change in less than 24 hours!!!

Just a few snaps along the road

And back to the grind in the morning after missing shifts on Mon. and Tues.
