Nail Polish Fiasko

Nic and the purple nail polish

See, Nana!

Can you believe she is only 4?

Hands on the hip attitude.

Back a couple of weeks ago, after Cait's birthday dinner we had a made a fire out the back. Soon the nail polish came out. Harlee had to get all dolled up and then Nic's diva side appeared.

Onto my day--completed skills lab at work.
Cait is still home sick with a viral sore throat--not strep throat.
July is almost here, unbelievable!

Wheeeeee.......

And down the hill we go!

Last summer I got Harlee a princess scooter at a garage sale and then, of coarse, I had to get Nic one- his is Toy Story.
On Father's Day Harlee wanted to race their scooters down our little hill in the backyard.
Nic doesn't quite get it, but was willing to participate.
But Harlee was going to win, come heck or high water!!! Nic, I think, would prefer to carry his down the hill.
Will have to see what their next antics will be.

I Wanna Help

You get the water out to do the plants and there are 2 eager beavers beside you.

Today, I thankfully only worked a half day. I would have been into overtime by the end of the week. And I just don't need to be working that many hours right now. Sent a couple of babies home and that is why we had to drop a nurse--only 8 munchkins in the NICU.
Back for more tomorrow.

Picture of the Week #25

How can one not love this picture of Harlee that I took on Sunday, when they were visiting on Father's Day. She and Nic were arguing over the purple hat.
Back to feeling normal, although groin is still tender. Went into work for a video conference today that earned my CEU's that I need to re-license in 2012.
Made a bunch of cards yesterday that I will post in the near future.
Waiting for Curtis to get home from a day in Helena.

I Survived

After spending the morning at the hospital for my angiogram, they let me come home around lunch time. My day started early, having to be at the hospital at 0630. Got my prep and was in the cardiac cath lab shortly after 8am. I love the wonderful drugs they give you and I don't remember anything. Everything looked OK though- onto the cardiac conduction doc next month. Have slept most of the afternoon away, so I hope I am able to sleep tonight.
Thanks to my amazing husband for supporting me through all of this.
And some photos of Popsicle Pete, who so loves popsicles. And I love the slow melting ones they have these days.

Tuesday Update

Just a photo of my awesome little grandson. He is such a ham sometimes.
Not much new--worked the last 2 days.
Tomorrow I have my angiogram--pretty nervous about that one.
And then I get to see the heart conductivity specialist next month and hopefully he will correct my tachycardia with a zap.

Two Celebrations

at our household today. Happy Father's Day to Curtis and a Happy 21st Birthday to Caitlin. It's not too often that they both fall on the same day. We took Cait out for dinner last evening, as I didn't want to be competing with all the Father's day families out there. Going to cook a turkey dinner for my baby today, as it is one of her favs. Curtis needs to put together his new BBQ, he got for Father's day.

Thursday

Today was the long drive home. Got back just after 10pm. I drove all the way, as Curtis has his bum knee and Cait lost her wallet a couple of weeks back, which had her drivers license in it. I drove in rain most of the day. Just glad to be back.

Wednesday

We arrived pretty early in Seattle and we were staying in Bellevue, which is north of Tacoma, where we usually stay. We headed to downtown, Bellevue for some dinner and lots of awesome shopping there.
We had dinner at PF Changs and it was yummy.
Curtis managed to bum his knee up on Tuesday evening--not sure how, but he did.
So that meant I was behind the wheel all over Seattle on Wednesday.
Cait's flight was due in at 7:15pm . I was shopping when there was a beep on my cell phone with a message that said she was on the ground--she was 40min early. So we bombed down the road to get to the airport to get her.
Her first request---IHOP for dinner for pancakes.
Not too hard a request in Seattle.

Tuesday Catch Up

Can you see the one mountain in the far back--it looks like a volcano errupting

How beautifully green everything is

water, water, everywhere!

Beautiful MT scenery

Lots of wild flowers blooming

Big Horn sheep walking down the road

Awesome clouds

So after working all day Monday, Curtis and I headed out on the road to Missoula, which is about a 3 hour drive from Great Falls. We got out of town earlier than expected and had a good drive over. That means the next day our drive isn't so long to Seattle. But I still did a lot of napping in the car on Tuesday, because I was pooped.

Picture of the Week #24

This is a picture of the chalk art Harlee did for me on the weekend.
The purple person is Harlee, because that is her favourite colour and the green person is me, because that is my favourite colour and we are under a rainbow. She loves to make rainbows.

Got to come home early from work today. We sent a baby home, so that meant a nurse needed to leave and it was my turn. But it means we can leave earlier and get on the road.
