Windy Monday

The wind is just howling out there and snow is predicted for tonight and tomorrow. Worked the weekend and now off until Easter Sunday. Have been out to run a couple of errands and now in for the rest of the day, I am thinking. Getting Easter baskets ready for the grandbabies and yes, Cait, there is a small package coming your way too.

TGIF

Presnets - paper from Glitz design
Rubon from art warehouse
title cut on slice
present cut out on cricut

For most people their work week is ending, mine just thinking about beginning, as I work the weekend. Just came in from my walk---windy out this morning. But I did see my first robins. Have heard them, but this is the first I have seen them. Need to mop floors and clean bathrooms this morning, before I go to lunch with Kirsten and the kids. Found an interesting wooden basket at Joanns for 1/2 price yesterday that I will recover for the kids to put their books in. Will post a before and after photo when I finish it.

It's a sad Sunday for me as Caitlin leaves to head back to Tacoma. But, it will be only a few weeks until we head out there to either pick her up to come home for the summer, or pick up some of her belongings if she gets a job out there. Watched Nicholas for a while yesterday, so Kirsten could take Harlee to a birthday party. Caitlin and I caught up on a few movies the last couple of days- Whip It, Up in the Air, Did You Hear About the Morgans, and the Frog Princess--need to get that one to have around the house for the kids. Anyway, I leave you with a cute layout I finished up yesterday.

Last Night-

at our house. It definitely wasn't quiet. Harlee and Nicholas were here. Kirsten and Caitlin went to see the new "Alice in Wonderland" movie. So the munchkins were here for dinner and a bath. We watched "The Frog Princess" movie with them--it was pretty cute. Put the kids in my big jacuzzi tub--they don't like the jets on. So, here is my updated blog for this week. It has been great having Caitlin around. She heads back to Seattle tomorrow. Hopefully she will be back for the summer.

Lazy Day Saturday

We picked Cait up at the airport late Friday night. Her plane was about 1-1/2 hour late after they had to return to Seattle because of a door ajar sensor. But all worked out and she arrived home safely for spring break.
Kirsten called to see if she could bring Harlee over . Of coarse-- Caitlin was so excited to see here. They built with blocks, watched some TV. And then we got in Nana's scraproom. Harlee and Nana stamped. She cut out with my revolution. And then she created with stickers. Auntie Cait found a stash in her supplies.
Cait and Nana played with the Cricut and cut out Ariel, the mermaid and flounder for Harlee. We laminated them so she could take them home and play with them. I want to make her a flannel board with different disney characters.
Her are some pictures of Harlee and Cait playing.

It's already the middle of the week. I can't believe it. We've had a little dose of winter return. One sure notices the colder temps. I worked the last 2 days-so they just fly by. We admitted 3 to the NICU yesterday with another coming. Busy, crazy day. Glad to be off now. Curtis has gone down the road to Helena for the day--I have some errands to run. And I am so excited Caitlin is coming home Friday night--but she can leave her pink eye in Tacoma, please. Here are a few layouts I completed over the weekend. Enjoy!

Another Year Older

Yesterday I celebrated another birthday--they just seem to get here quicker with each passing year. The weather was exceptional for early March--sunny and warm(into the 50's) I was actually off work this year and enjoyed a nice day with my hubby. We went out for brunch to the Golden Corral and then had a bit of a drive. Got to scrapbook some in the afternoon and then Kirsten and the kids came over for supper. I had put a pot roast in the crock pot and Kirsten made and decorated a cake for me. She did a great job. So, all in all in was a great celebration.

"Tis the Season

no,not Christmas--but Hot Cross Buns!!!Have made my 2nd batch and Harlee was here and had to roll her own bun. There was flour everywhere. Figures, I had just mopped my floors. Hopefully spring is just around the corner. Temperatures have been well in the 50's this week--giving us a tease of spring. The snow in the backyard has almost melted away with these warm temps and yes, I do still have grass in the backyard. Been a pretty usual week==work some shifts, fell on some ice walking(thankfully, it is gone now) So I have been a bit sore the last couple of days. Had Harlee at the beginning of the week and she is pretty much potty trained--that's a biggy. Hope to work on some cards and layouts this weekend.
