Been Busy in the Garden

Besides tending to Cait, I have been busy planting flowers. Wanted to get it all done before we head to the coast for our cruise to Alaska. Looking awful pretty out in the yard and the decks. Have a beer can chicken on the grill for dinner. Yum, yum!!!

Cait's foot

Thought I should write a little update about Caitlin's foot. She injured her R foot on Tuesday pm when she was over at the playground. Came down a fire pole and her foot went off the concrete pad and she twisted her ankle. We went to the ER on Wed., just to make sure nothing was broken. But lots of bruising. She is in a boot and on crutches. We were at the orthopedic surgeon today to get it checked out and I guess there is a little bone fragment floating around. Always interesting with Cait around

A Quick Trip to Many Glacier and Beyond.

Curtis made an appointment to do an interview for work, as today was when the guy was available. He asked me to go with him. So, early this morning we headed up to Many Glacier, which is in Glacier Park. For those who follow my blog and are not from MT, it is about 3 hours northwest of us, very near the Canadian Border(about 40mi). It is in the Rocky Mtns. and very spectacular scenery. It was a gorgeous day to make the trip, not too hot, not windy and the mountains were glorious and the water was so blue. The mountain wildflowers are starting to blossom. But there is still a significant amount of snow up there in the hills. Saw some wildlife- some moose, mountain sheep and a deer. The Target train cars made our day! Lots of photos, so I hope you enjoy them.

Awesome Blossoms!

The trees in our backyard are looking spectacular this spring. I worked all day today, but did get out last evening to take a few photos. I love the one with the lady bug.

Monday Musings

It's been a weird day for me. Got canceled from work to start the day, but then went in for a 10am delivery and to admit the baby. Then left again around 2pm. That was OK, as Kirsten called to see if I would watch Harlee and Nicholas for a while, so she could clean their room up. We played outside--Nicholas loves the swing and he is actually still for 10 min. and Harlee loves to blow bubbles. She saw the bunny in the back yard yesterday so the shhhh... pictures are of her, so not to scare the bunny. Nicholas loves the clear tables that you can see through. Enjoy!

Home with Caitlin

It's been a whirlwind of a week since I last posted.
Worked last weekend and then again on Tues. & Wed, then headed out for Tacoma to pick up Caitlin for summer break.
Heading through Missoula it was again precipitating, only this time it was warmer and it was raining and not snowing. We broke the trip up this time and spent the night in Spokane. Was able to have dinner with Debbie P and 2 of her kids. Nice visit.
We headed out Friday morning and arrived in Spokane around 11am. Caitlin was mostly packed up.
She had planned to leave some things there with our friends, Lori and Mark (thank you so much.) And we got to see their lovely new house with a scraproom to die for.
Curtis was concerned we wouldn't get the rest of her stuff in our Pilot and we had not brought the car top carrier. But it did manage to fit, with a little room to spare. We also had a goldfish in tow. Long drive home yesterday. But it was gorgeous weather while we were out there. Even Mt Ranier, was in full view and the water reflections were unreal.
Cait is trying to unpack and if the lawn mower would behave, I would get the lawn mowed. Curtis is off on the bike.
