I can actually see the pavement on the driveway. A couple of layouts from when it was really snowy.

So Proud!!!!

to be a Canadian and watch these young skaters win the Gold for Canada. They are both from the London area, where I am from. They skated their hears out and it was just overwhelming to watch the Canadian flag raised. These Olympic games are being held in such a beautiful venue--Vancouver, BC. Congratulations to Tessa and Scott.

Still Winter Here!

This is a picture of our car when we made a pit stop in Lincoln yesterday, after coming over the pass on our way to Missoula. Curtis and I made the trip to pick up car parts for Kirsten and Tim. We strolled around Lowes and had lunch. Curtis talked to a couple of people that was work related and we headed home. Roads were not the greatest. Saw a roll over on the way home. Spending a quiet day at home today.

Today is Fat Tuesday-the day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. All I know is we always had Pancakes for dinner. But not at this household tonight--I just put ribs in the crock pot and invited Kirsten and the kids for dinner.

But yesterday, I played in my scraproom because I was so darn tired from working 4 -12 hour shifts out of the last 6 days. And I was darn busy, therefore dog tired yesterday. Doing better today and cleaning bathrooms and mopping floors and just generally picking up.

Another foggy morning, but it seems to have lifted and the sun is shining now.

SuperBowl Sunday

There will be no football or superbowl party celebrated at this household. Instead I will blog about yesterday. I made 2 turkeypot pies and sugar cookies. Harlee and Nicholas came over late in the afternoon, so Kirsten could go grocery shopping in peace. And Curtis and I could spend a couple of hours with the grandkids. The pot pie was a hit with the kids--they came back for seconds. Harlee wanted more of that chicken. And Harlee was happy she got to put sprinkles on her cookie.!!! Oh, yeah, and Nicholas gobbled up 3, yes 3 cookies in about 20 minutes, after his mum came back and had eaten dinner. Nana had left them within his reach on the counter. I guess that means they were yummy.

Trip to Missoula

Curtis headed west to Hamilton, after being east to Wolf Point, for 2 days. He asked if I wanted to go with. It was a nice break out of town and the weather was decent. Not the Hamilton, on Lake Ontario. This Hamilton is south of Missoula and very definitely cowboy country. He finished up his work and we spent the night in Missoula. Shopped around this morning and headed home. Snowed all the way to the Pass and then stopped.
The top photo is leaving Hamilton yesterday and the sun was setting.
The second is some horses in the snow outside of Missoula.

A New Month

In some respects, I am so thankful to have January over and to start a new month. Bring on Feb and another day closer to spring. I was canceled from work early this morning and have been on call all day for them. It meant I could get my floors mopped sooner after having the grandkids here on the weekend. And then I was able to create this afternoon.
