End of a long day on the road!

Rainier Picturesque Photos

Sometime I would like to return here and spend more time. Traveled down the road to Salt Lake City, UT today. Curtis has meetings here tomorrow and Wed. So, I will have a couple of shopping days to myself. Fresh snow on the mountains - I mean really!!! it isn't even Sept. quite yet.

Rainer wildflowers

The flowers blooming in the park today, deserve a post of their own. They were awesome. They were everywhere and lots of people photographing them. Lupine and Indian paintbrush. The others I am going to have to check a flower book out to identify them. Hope you enjoy them as much as Curtis and I did.

Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier was where we headed for today, after we dropped Caitlin off at UPS. These photos were taken on Sat. when the skies were clear in Tacoma and the mountain looked magnificent. Today it was all clouded in, but we enjoyed the drive through the park.

Caitlin's New Digs

Got Caitlin into her new digs yesterday. It is in an on campus house with 4 other kids. She was in a little panic a few weeks ago when she didn't have a place to live. She had changed her plans about going overseas for the full year and had to make plans to find a place to live. She was looking to find a place off campus when this room on campus opened up. Cait has already rearranged the furniture in her room. She will get the rest of her stuff today. Need to hit Target too. Made a Costco run yesterday with a couple of her friends-Serena and Rachel.

Greetings from Seattle

Spending the day out and about in Seattle, since Cait can't move into her place until tomorrow. Cait and I visited the Seattle aquarium and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we walked the many stairs up to Pikes Market to watch them throw Halibut around, take in the gorgeous flowers and enjoy a peanut butter cookie. Curtis picked us up and we had a drive around Mercer Island, ate lunch, headed to my fav stamp store-Impress rubber Stamps and Ikea. We are now back relaxing in our hotel room. Overcast day and much, much cooler
