Niagara Falls-Butterfly Conservatory

Monday afternoon we continued down the road a little to Niagara Falls. This is a gorgeous venue although very touristy now. Curtis and I visited the butterfly conservatory--a very cool place with beautiful butterflies inside. We had a great motel room overlooking the falls and in the evening there were fireworks over the falls because it was Memorial Day.

Niagara-on-the-Lake
Monday morning we drove a little around the lake to this little town. The Niagara area is big wine country and local growing fruit. Cute little shops around the town and home to the Shaw theatre and home to Old Fort George.

Sunday, May 30

Curtis, Me, Bryan, Lauree, Jan, Paul, Kim, Lorraine, Chris, and Cathy.

With the garage sale in the past, today we are heading to Hamilton to enjoy lunch with the girl cousins. Had a terrific lunch at the Madrin restaurant--lots of good oriental food. And great company. I think we decided to hold on the fall cruise and maybe meet in Las Vegas. A closer destination for me. Some of us headed to cousin, Jan's house after and Lauree and Paul and Curtis and I spent the night at Uncle Fred's.

Thursday May 27th

We crossed the border and arrived home in London, Ontario for me. Thankfully no big issues coming into Canada. Staying with a great friend from nursing school, Sharon and her husband, Bill. Trying to connect with my sister. Weather is pretty hot and humid--into the 80's

Sat. May 29th

The crowd around the table -starting with me, Paul-who is married to Pat, my step sister Pat, my nephew, Paul, my sister Lauree and our friend, Pam.

This day we had to gear up for a garage sale at my late mum's and stepdad's. Lauree and I had to go through everything of my mums in such a hurry yesterday. My stepday wouldn't let us in until then and there was so much to go through and pack up. But only so much stuff would fit in our vehicle. Thankfully, it was a nice day for the sale and business was steady. But there still was a lot of stuff to be disposed of. Later we went out for dinner with Pat and Paul and Pam, a neighbour we grew up and played with years ago.
