Hot August Day

Sad to think summer is almost gone--it has been so short this year. We have had very few days in the 90's and none in the 100's, which is OK by me. Got through another garage sale--nickel and diming all way. No big ticket items, but did clear out a few things and the rest will be going to Good Will. Harlee came over with her mama and stayed for quite a while. She is very happy playing at Nana's and Papa's. A few cute photos of her today.

Finished a layout over the weekend when I was off and it was rainy out. Got the garage cleaned up some, so we can have a garage sale this weekend and hope a bunch goes. Or is is off to the Goodwill come Monday am. Have been running errands today. Hopefully, will get to work again tomorrow. Slim pickings in the NICU these days.

Restaining the Deck

That was the goal for this past weekend-getting the deck restained. We borrowed a power washer from our good friends, Walter and Robyn. Curtis got it all washed down and then I went to work with the stain. It is all finished for another couple of years-yeah! Looks like I probably will be canceled from work tomorrow--there are only 5 babies in the NICU and too many nurses scheduled.

I know I have been missing for a few days. I have been nursing a sore back and hip. Things seem to be doing better. I actually got out and walked again this morning. Wouldn't take a chance on mowing the grass this week. Curtis got most of it done and Cait will finish it up today. Had Harlee and Nicholas last evening, so their mom and dad could go to a concert at the fair. Nicholas only tried to drown me once, so I am thinking that is pretty good. He hadn't napped so crashed for me about 7:30 and I only had to wrestle with the alligator for about 10 min. Otherwise, things are pretty slow around here. Curtis is on the road again. Cait plugs away at her 2 jobs. And work for me has been pretty slow this last week-thankfully. I didn't feel guilty about being sick on sunday.
