Hello Australia!

With great sadness we departed New Zealand and sailed fr two days across the Tasman Sea to reach Sydney, Australia.  We could not dock here, as there were already 2 ships disembarking and embarking passengers.  So we tendered just under the famous Sydney bridge.  Here this big city didnt have enough dock space in this famous harbour for all the cruise ships.

We sailed into this famous harbour under light of the full moon.  It was gorgeous!  Some of us we up to enjoy it.

Our first plan of action was the Sydney Opera House, wherevwe had a tour.  It is a magnificient structure.

Lunch was a great meal of fish and chips on Circular Quey.  Very reasonable for $15AD.

We did a little shopping here.

We got on the Hop on. hop off bus and had a tour around tge city.  Boy, was it a hot day!

Then we visited the Sydney aquarium.

We got the bus back to the bridge and headed back to our ship!  We were beat!

Soccer Season has Commenced!

Yesterday was the first game of the season.  And it was a beautiful day to be out on the field!!  Spring- you never know what Mother Nature is going to hand out!  And Harlee got one of her team's 2 goals!

I think the team is comprised of 9-10yr olds!  Such a great variance in height.  Harlee is one of the shorties on the team.  

Will continue my adventure. The next day we sailed through the Sounds of NZ on the western side- Dusky, Doubtful and Milford.  We picked up passengers that had done an overnight to Queenstown!

We arrived later than anticipated because of the medic evac.  And we enjoed a great day without rain that only happens 25% of the time!

April is Under Way!

BHere we have started a new month.  Kirsten has been sick!  Curtis went out to photograph grouse early one morning and did a red Cross blood run.   I worked a long and very busy 12 hour shift.  Started going through my trip photos and ordered some.

Of coarse, I just can't put the sd card in the hard drive- the computer is too old to read it.  Always something.

Curtis and I made a Costco run to Helena yesterday and found out the local craft store is shutting its doors. I wonder if Hobby Lobby opening there was its demise?

And this weekend the temps have climbed near 70.  Very enjoyable, I must admit.  Need to do some outside work.

Will continue with some photo from my trip.  Our next stop was Dunedin, the last New Zealand port on our cruise.  It was sad to leave the land of the Kiwis.

And pipers piped us off as we left port.  An interesting evening as about an hour later, we were eating dinner- the captain came on overhead and said we were returning to port for a medical emergency.  

We got close to port and a medic helicopter came out to us and landed on the heliport on front of the ship.  And this was not the only med evac we had!
