A Few Cards
while I am recuperating. Not much else to do--I am not really a daytime TV person.
Did manage to do a bit more today--went to Harlee's preschool open house and met her teacher.
Did bake a chocolate zucchini cake and a yummy dinner. Nice to be able to put the oven on with cooler temps today. And fit in a short nap before dinner, as the nights are uncomfortable and restless. Groin pain some better, but still hurts.

Page Maps-My Memories Suite Sketch Challenge
Here I go again. Most of the product used is from Simple Stories -Summertime collection.
Another Wednesday is here. Going with Kirsten and Harlee to her preschool open house later this morning.
Feeling better. Still sore.
Not over doing it--playing in my scrap space and napping, since I am not sleeping that well at night.
I Heart Faces-White challenge
You can see other great photos here.
This weeks challenge is the colour white.
My picture is one of Harlee at the park a few weeks ago.
I survived my ablation procedure yesterday. Just a long day-most of it spent lying in a bed. I am sore today. But, I am hoping for better days ahead. Should have done this ages ago. Fear can get the better of us sometimes. But when push, comes to shove, it is over.
Will be spending a quiet day at home.

Dog Days of Summer
Don't you just love this photo of H&N sitting in their pool with no water. Harlee serenading Nic on her Yukulele. This was taken when our family was altogether for dinner before Cait when back to the coast.
Got to come home early from work--yeah!! Needed to get packed up to head to Missoula, tank up the Pilot with gas, and pick up a few fresh groceries. I knew I wouldn't feel like it when we get back from my procedure tomorrow evening.
So, I asked the gal at work who was supposed to leave, if she would mind if I went instead--no problem. Still on call for the unit until 6pm. But I can leave right at 6, instead of almost 7. That means a lot when you have a 3-1/2 hour drive.

It's a Hot One Out There
Another hot day, but it is to cool off later next week.
Kirsten and I and the kids headed down to the farmers market this morning.
Lots of people there.
Came home and cut the front lawn and got it all watered.
Then we headed to a friends Jimmy Buffet Party for dinner. Yummy ribs, chicken, beef brisket, lots of salads and awesome door prizes. A fun afternoon.
Now I am off to dreamland since I work tomorrow.
And then head to Missoula after work, since I have my heart procedure on Monday.

Picture of the Week #33
OK, these are ospreys in their nest that I took pictures driving up to Kalispell a few weeks back. We had just turned the corner up to Seeley Lake and I spotted this nest. I made Curtis turn around and go back so we could see what was up in the nest. Used my telephoto lens and I think it did an awesome job capturing this shot.
Has been a pretty good Friday. Curtis is on his way home from Missoula.
I had Harlee this morning, so Kirsten could take Nic in for his speech eveluation.
Then we headed out shopping to find a few things for the kids since Nic is shooting upwards and Harlee is headed out to preschool.
I got me a new pair of jeans.

It's a sad day at our household!!!Cait is headed back to the coast to finish up her senior year at college. Where has the summer gone???
Curtis is on the road in Missoula, so she is staying with him tonight and it won't be such a long drive for her tomorrow.
I had a 2hour staff meeting at work this morning, came home and went out to lunch with Cait.
Catching up on some laundry, since I worked the last 2 days.
But I did create this layout this afternoon.
And having another scorcher out there with the high of 95F. I am glad to have A/C.

Last of my Glacier Park Photos
Slacking this Sunday morning, although I have been for a walk and cooked breakfast.
Moving the sprinkler around the front yard.
Making some card sets that I can use for Christmas gifts. Will take some photos later to post.
Cait is working her second to last shift at Sonic.
This is my last post of Glacier Park snaps I took.
They say it is going to be a scorcher today. Have the house shut up now it is cool. I am sure the air will come on later.

Picture of the Week#32
Here we are well into August. The mornings are cool when I am out walking now. Must mean fall is just around the corner, darn. Although, I love fall, summer this year has been much too short. No days over 100F. But it is dry now, very dry.
Took this photo of Toots when we had our Yellowstone adventure.
Kirsten, Tim and the kids are coming over for dinner, so we can have a meal all together before Cait heads back to the coast next week. I can't believe it is time for her to leave already. I am not ready, but I am sure she is. She is taking a car back with her, which is a new adventure. She feels she might need a vehicle since she graduates in Dec. to job hunt with.

A Couple of Layouts
I did that weren't for sketch challenges
I got to spend most of my day at home.
Cleaned bathrooms, mopped floors.
Ran the lawn mower back to Kirsten's house.
Then Curtis got home and went to a movie and dinner and Cait joined us.
Lots of smoke in the air last night from fires popping up, with it getting so dry out now. Dangerous fire season is upon us.
