Kaua'i -Day 7

We started our say withal trip to the post office to mail home coconuts to the older grandkids.  Then it was off to Hahalei to their Farmers Market.  Quite a few vendors with sewn items, jewelry, paintings and of coarse, local produce.  Some of it I have never heard of, or know what to do with it, or what it tastes like!!!!
We parked beside this old church, which was built in 1834.  It is a beautiful building.  We were able to get a look inside too!
From here we continued to drive along the north shore to the end of the road at Kepe beach. There are 11 one lane bridges from where we are staying and the end of the road.  And there are natural tunnels at the end of the road too.
On the way back we stopped for lunch at the Hanalei Colony Mediterranean Grill, where I had a yummy Gyro with a glass of Sangria.  good thing there was a burger on the menu for Curtis.
From here we visited the Lighthouse and the sun was actually shining.  There was a red footed booby within good viewing distance and a little Shearwater that was peeping out and actually came out to see the sun for a couple of minutes!
As we headed down the hill from the lighthouse the clouds were spectacular!  The weather is ever changing on this island!
We found place to take some sunset photos

But it was more spectacular from where I walk to every morning!
Aloha!

Wonderful photos these past 7 posts - you've thoroughly convinced me that we need to visit there too.
