Not like I have enough pokers in the fire. I am working on 2 travel albums. I am finishing knitting a pair of sock for Caitlin. I still need to made some dinners to put in the freezer for Kirsten. So, I started something else. A quilting project for Cooper! I started making him a blanket. I got all my fabric cut out, so I can start to sew. Here is a glimpse with the materials I am using. I love the colours. I think that is the part I like about quilting and why I like scrapbooking too.
Yesterday a pretty quiet day. But I did go into the hospital for mandatory Employee forums. Ticks me off when you have to go in for something and can't find a park!!!! I went around 2 lots and found nothing, so I finally parked in a physician parking slot. There were still lots available. Puts my blood pressure up. Will be doing this again today and hopefully it will go better. Got my floors all mopped up. Picked up the princess after school and she spent the afternoon with me. And Curtis got home from Missoula.
Supposed to be an awesome, spring-like weekend here with temps up near 60F. Unfortunately, I am scheduled to work. I say bring it on!!!

My Next Project
I am currently working on two travel albums. They are from my cruise I took in the fall to New England and the Canadian Maritimes. Working on two, because one is for my sister and one is for me. Taking a little longer when you work on two. This is the opening page for my sister's book.
Awake early this morning and can't get back to sleep. So, I shall get showered and get my cleaning done!!! Have to be in to the hospital by 10am for Employee Forums and mock codes.
Yesterday got all my laundry put away. Got my bed sheets changed and laundered.
Watched a couple of movies and spent time in my scrap space. Thankfully not so tired as I was on Monday. Curtis on the road again to Missoula.

A Labour of Love!!!
I have been missing as it was my weekend to work!!! It was busy and I am pooped today. Doing laundry, ran a couple of errands and ironed all of Curtis' work shirts. Not too shabby.
The last few weeks I have been working on a project for the new baby. The knitting needles have been busy! When I started it I didn't know she was having a BOY. But, I had some turquoise baby wool and started the blanket with it. It turned out really nice.
My mum had knit blankets for H&N and since she is no longer with us, I thought baby Cooper needed a knitted blanket, too.

Picture of the Week #8
Here we are 8 weeks into this new year. Can hardly believe Feb. is almost over!!!! I am sure Kirsten is wishing the time would go faster, so the baby would arrive. I can't blame her. Those last few weeks can be miserable.
Here is my picture of the week. A sign spring is just around the corner.
Yesterday, I had my cleaning at the dentist. I had hoped to actually see the dentist as I had a sheered a piece off of one of my molars. But it seems he has been calving for the last 2 weeks. Since it isn't bothering me, no one seemed overly concerned about it. So, I won't either.
I ran to the grocery store. Then I came home and made Kirsten a couple of things to get in her freezer for the upcoming weeks. 2 mac and cheese and one Tangy meatballs.
Picked Harlee Boo up after school. Then Curtis and I went out to dinner at the Montana Club. It is fairly new here in town and we wanted to try it out. It was good, but not great. And it was busy for a Thursday evening. Glad we didn't wait until tonight.
So, I have one more day off then work the weekend.

My Budding Little Photographer
Nicholas continues to take an interest in cameras and taking pictures. When he was over on the weekend, papa had the tripod up, as he was trying out a new Gimble head. He was very curious by it all. We got out the old Canon power shot, so he could try it out.
Nicholas has showed in interest in cameras and taking pictures for quite a while now and he is only 4. I think we need to encourage this interest!
On to me, I worked a 12 hour shift yesterday and was pretty tired when I came home last evening and crashed into bed around 9pm.
The day before, on Monday, I majorly cleaned up the house. I took my crystal out of the cupboard and ran it through the dishwasher. I took down the snowmen village, finally. I want winter to be over and move on to spring. Especially now I can see the days getting a little longer. I mopped my floors and vacuumed through. I changed the bed. And I did all the laundry. I was pooped at the end of the day. But I got a lot accomplished!!! I think Kirsten's bug of nesting has reached this nana too.

Freaky February!!
This weather is driving me crazy. Yesterday it was 53F and today it is 34F. Why can't it just stay constant. Layering the clothes would be in fashion with this kind of temperatures.
Yesterday was spent with H&N while their parent were working. Papa cooked them pancakes for breakfast. And then we went outside it was so nice out. They played and played and played. Then nana found the old wagon and she pulled them around the block. Then they saw the play ground and that is where we headed. We were all outside for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I had to pull the wagon up the hill to home. All Nic could say was "Go faster, Nana. This old gal had her workout!!!!
Today, I went over to Kirsten to help her get some meals in the freezer for when the baby comes. That way, if she doesn't feel like cooking, she can just pull something out of the freezer. I will make a few more for her in the coming weeks. But, she has 8 meals in the freezer- some for the crockpot, some casseroles.
The scooters came out!
Nic was disappointed the snow was melted from the backyard hill.
The IPads came out after lunch for some quiet time.

Picture of the Week #7
My picture this week, is from when we traveled to SLC and during the snow that fell.
I saw this old tree trunk with the snow on top and it really caught my eye.
A couple different pictures of it for you.
Been a pretty lazy day for me and I am loving it. I did go out for a walk this morning. A little chilly out. Otherwise I have been scrapping away. Working on 2 travel albums from my cruise last fall- One for me and one for my sister! Picked Harlee up after school. They little cuties will be here in the morning while their mama works for a few hours.

Feb.14- Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying their day with their sweetie. Just happy mine is home with me. He has been gone so much lately. We will be enjoying a steak dinner at home. I know it will taste yummy. It will be much cheaper. And the service will be great!
We had a little snow overnight. Just enough to make the roads slushy and messy. So much for my clean car. Filled up all the bird feeders. I think the birds and squirrels were upset I hadn't been out to fill up the feeders in a few days!!!
I ran a couple of errands this morning. Took Valentine cookies to the bake sale at the hospital. The OB-NICU were having the sale to raise money for March of Dimes. Hope they are raising lots of $$$$ for a good cause.
Here is one of the Valentine Day cards I sent out this year.
Here are some of the yummy cookies I made yesterday. Saved a couple for my sweetie and my two little sweeties(H&N)
And not to be forgotten, I sent Caitlin a box last week that included some yummy shortbreads I made.

Take the Long Way Home
Sunday morning we headed north out of Salt Lake for the long drive home. It is about 8-9 hours of freeway driving. There were some snow covers roads. Considering it was the beginning of Feb. we were pretty lucky to have such great road conditions. It was colder down in Utah than here in MT. and with humidity from thenGreat Salt Lake it made it colder out.
Took a few photos along the way home.
Curtis is always happy to see this sign!

A Snowy Saturday Morning
Saturday, we had planned to drive up into the mountains to Park City. But when we got up it was grey and overcast and snowing. We decided to stay down in the valley and did a little drive around Ogden.
Not an LDS church, a good old Catholic church, just up the street from our hotel.
Gorgeous tree lined streets.just a little snowy.
Cool snow clouds

Picture of theWeek #6
We are home from Salt Lake. Mostly good roads, with a few yucky spots. Considering we were traveling at the beginning of Feb. I am saying we lucked out with the weather and road conditions. Nice to have a few days away, but always great to get back home!!!!
This picture was taken outside our hotel. I loved the stone pillar with the dead vines and the snow on top!

Driving into the fog.
Sunset in the fog!

We stopped here for Curtis.
Lots of purchases from here
Cutest thing we saw today!!!
Beautiful Wasatch mountains
Hey, Tim--- we drove past a mini Cooper dealership!!!!
We drove right down State Street
A great sunset from a parking lot
The lamp posts outside our hotel
Today, we have been having fun shopping!!!!
