This is the time of year when everything is decorated for Halloween at Disneyland. It is kind of neat to be here.and tonight we are going to their Halloween party. A special parade, special fireworks. The kids get to trick or treat. The characters are all dressed up.

Viva Las Vegas!
Saturday night our planned destination was Las Vegas. We stayed in North Vegas. I am not sure what Harlee thought Vegas was, but that isn't where she wanted to sleep!
We decided to drive down the strip. Not sure that was wise, because there was a ton of traffic. The I Heart Music Festival was going on.

A Long Trip on the Road!
We took 2-1/2 days to take our drive south to California. Through the states of Montana, Idaho, Utah, A small piece of Arizona, Nevada and finally CA. The kids travelled well with the help of all our modern electronic devices.

A Little Giraffe
A little giraffe came to visit me this morning! He needed to be bundled up as it was only in the 30's when Kirsten had to run the kids to school.

Almost Time
To leave on our big vacation. Feeling better . The baby and I are still hacking and coughing!
He came to visit. Kirsten asked to leave him here for a few minutes, while she took the big kids to the bank to cash their coins in. But they didn't want to go to the bank. They wanted to stay with their nana. So their mum went to the bank without them.
Much cooler out today. First time I have worn my sweatpants in a long, long time! Sad to think winter is just around the corner. A and the mountains did have snow today!

My Journal for the Trip.
Here is my journal I redid for our trip. It is a K&Co Smash book that I got on sale at Michael's for 5.99. Why get one for the ridiculous price of $12.99? I recovered the front to my liking.
I am home sick today, instead of working! Seems a few of us have managed to catch Cooper's bug. We thought he had a cough because he was teething, but I guess he has a bug. Now 3 more of us are sick!
We have much colder temps expected overnight and tomorrow. And Maybe snow for the mountains!

The Countdown is On.
for the big trip south. Trying to get a little organized since I work the next three days and Thursday will need to be a catch up day and getting final packing done.
Allergies really getting to me and I practically have no voice this morning!
Yesterday spent much of the day with Kirsten and the kids. We went to the Farmer's market and it was pretty crowed, but got some nice produce. Spent much of the afternoon out in the sky chair with Cooper. Finished up the autograph books for the kids. And started on a journal book for me made from a Smash book that I got on sale at Michaels. Yeah, for me.
Not sure what I am up to today. Get the last couple of boxes emptied from the garage, so Tim can park his car in there while we are gone. And shorten a couple pair of pants for Curtis, I think he is shrinking!

Getting Ready for Disney!
Next week at this time we will be on the road to California and Disneyland! In preparation we decided to make our own autograph books for the kids.
Started with a cereal box, cut them up and covered them with Disney papers.
Today,I worked half a day. Curtis and I went out for lunch. I barely got home and Kirsten was here with Cooper. She headed to the school to get the kids and Cooper and I swang in the sky chair, where he fell asleep! And I wish I had!
Yesterday, I had watched Cooper all day. He is at the point where he wants you to entertain him and not entertain himself. Therefore I didn't get much done! I walked to the school with Kirsten. It was hot walking home!!!! And then I ran to the hospital for a mandatory meeting.

9-11
If you live in America you never forget the event of 9-11, 2001. You remember what you were doing and being glued to the TV most of the day! Curtis was TDY and came home, as I was scheduled to work a night shift and didn't want to leave the girls all night by themselves.
I have worked Mon. and Tues and they were doozies. Have a few days off, except I volunteered to work Friday morning extra.
Today, I did some catching up at home. Did laundry and was able to hang some outside. Got to give the new Dyson a work out. Mopped down some floors. And got a haircut. Started working on a little project for our trip to Disney. Countdown is so- we leave in 9 days!
Tomorrow I get to spend the day with Cooper. Haven't done that in a little while.
Just a couple of photos from the weekend. Please excuse the spot in the middle of the screen. Seems my sensor had a spot on it, which has been rectified.

What the Hay???
This morning it was very cloudy and cool. I headed out to mow the grass and clean up the garden in the back, when I came in Curtis asked if I wanted to go to see the hale bales and art work for
What the Hay. I packed us a lunch and we headed out towards the east for a little over an hour. And here is some of what we saw!

Welcome to the Family!
I was very excited to meet Grizelle. My sister loves this young lady. And Paul has chosen a wonderful mate! Even though we are miles apart it is great to have her in our family!
I have worked the last 2 days and looking forward to a little down time over the weekend.
We had a doozy of a thunderstorm blow through late last evening, which brought much cooler temperatures with it. I am certainly looking forward to temps in the 70s, rather than the 90s where they have been. So hot for the kids to go back to school.
