Our First Port- Ketchikan

After a day at sea we reached our destination of Ketchikan.  A little town on the south east coast.  A lot of these towns are only reachable by boat or float plane.  It was a overcast, rainy day that we spent here.  Unusual if you get a sunny day here as it is considered in the rain forest.  It is also the Salmon Capitol of the World.  It was crazy watch the salmon jump out of the water right off the ship!  It Ketchikan, Curtis and I decided to take a ride on the Duck- it gives you a tour on land and then you get to be out on the water too.  We had done some shopping in town earlier in the day.

See how low the clouds hang.

Watching the fishing boats come in

 Lots of totems here

Everyone takes a photo of this sign

On our duck boat tour.

It was float plane rush hour as we left town!
