North!!! To the Homeland!

Today, Curtis and I headed north to Lethbridge, Alberta.  It is 3 hours north from where we live.  We think nothing of driving that distance in a day out here.  There is virtually no traffic on the interstate and the only thing that might hold you up is crossing the border.
But, we had motive today.  The Canadian quilt show was being held in Lethbridge this weekend.  And Curtis' sister and her friend, who live in B.C. both had quilts that had been accepted into the show.  Oh, my, gosh there was some beautiful art work.  Sorry, there are no photos of the quilts as you were not allowed to take photos.  That was a first.  They wanted you to spend $15 on a book with them in it.  So we spent the morning with his sister and went out to lunch with them and then I had some shopping to do, while we were north.
But I did take some photos along the way.
Cool storm clouds along the way.  And everything is so green, now we have had more moisture.

Lethbridge has a cool train trestle.  And there was actually a train going over it when we went by it this morning.
And we are back home safe and sound, after a visit to Tim's to bring some TimBits home to the grandkids.  Yum!!!!!

I would love to go to a quilt show…there was one here at the art museum..but more artistic quilts than crafters quilts.
But I was just blown away by all of the talent.
Wow, 15.00 for the quilt book….I hope they made some money on it.
I would drive that distance for a quilt show, especially with this stunning view.

Awesome photos...I'm sure the quilt show was fabulous! Two weeks ago I attended a quilting class...I'm in the middle of making a rag quilt, hope to finish it this week!
